Aileen Lichtenstein is a British Academy postdoctoral fellow at Northumbria University in Newcastle, England. She has previously worked as a lecturer in modern European history at the Universities of East Anglia and Stirling. Before joining Northumbria, she was a teaching fellow in modern history at the University of Warwick.
